Risso’s dolphin, known for its distinctive circular face, made a rare appearance off the coast of California in April of this year. The all-white dolphin, affectionately named “Casper,” has since been spotted again in Monterey Bay. The friendly creature has garnered attention from viewers after a video of its appearance was shared on the official Facebook page of the Monterey Bay Whale Watch. Despite being a rare sight, Risso’s dolphins are frequently seen just south of the Bay Area in California.
